About The Author: Perspective Behind Passion

Hello! My name is Breanna Allgood. I am a biomedical health sciences student at East Tennessee State University, with a love for nutrition. I was raised in a physically active family where sports, workouts, and staying busy were just part of everyday life. Sadly, amidst the rat race and due dates, nutrition often took a backseat to convenience. I knew how to move my body, but I didn’t really know how to fuel it.

As I got older, I realized that being active alone was not enough. I started teaching myself how to design meals to support energy, recovery, focus, and overall well-being. Pairing this with an active routine, I witnessed within myself how intentional eating habits could make a difference not only physically, but mentally. To this day, I strive to always implement these habits that have helped me in so many ways from improving my self-confidence, to healing my relationship with food. Here at The Busy Plate, you will find curated recipes, meal plans, and blogs aimed to help guide you along your nutritional journey!

My Mission

My goal is to help busy people, like me, find ways to prioritize their health, even if it seems like time will not allow. I hope to instill within you an unwavering confidence around food, not just peace in eating it, but also a knowledge of how to prepare, and analyze different foods for their nutritional value. 

Because busy still deserves to eat well
